Here are some of the basics on how to dye your hair.

One of the first things we need to do is to consider what color are we going to choose. One of the main, main things to consider on choosing your hair color is what your skin color is. One trick to find out if you're not sure if you're a warm or a cool skin tone is by looking at your veins. If you look at your veins, and in the natural light is the best by the way, and they take a blue tint you have a cool skin tone. If you look at your veins and they have a green tint to them you have a warm skin tone. If you find that your skin is warm let's choose a color that's warm. If you find your skin is cool let's choose a hair color that's cool for your hair.

Three different types of hair dye that exist are temporary, semi-permanent, and permanent hair dye. Temporary hair dye is a one day wash in wash out. Semi-permanent tends to last a few shampoos. It could be anywhere from three weeks, four weeks, five weeks. It really depends on how often you shampoo your hair. Permanent color is the strongest and the most permanent. Roots grow, permanent color needs to be touched up. On semi-permanent color I guess your roots grow, but the color sort of fades out. And temporary color it's in, it's out. Sometimes it's for a party. Sometimes it's for a day.

When shopping for hair color it could become a little overwhelming. You're surely going to get a temporary color if your hair color comes in one bottle. Temporary color is never mixed together. Mixing color together usually requires a peroxide and a hair dye.Temporary color doesn't have peroxide. So, if you really only want it to stay in one day make sure you're not mixing a bottle together. Because you might be fooled by the packaging.

Permanent hair dye, again, comes in two bottles, your hair dye and your developer bottle. These two will be mixed together, applied, and processed according to the manufacturer.
